Anyone recognize this truck ?

My wife snapped these two picks of an unusual looking 67-72. It has alaska tags on it. Looks like a home built bed and has a 5th wheel setup. I don't recall seeing those wheels before either.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

I know nothing about the truck. Obviously top chopped and big exhaust pipes. It's definately a working truck.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

5 lugs and a gooseneck is a curious combination to me. Whatever he is hauling must be reasonably light.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

The wheels look so odd to me, they almost look like plastic covers. Maybe there's an 8 lug 1 to axle under there.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

I have seen that running around Fairbanks. I don't know the guy that drives it, but I also have seen him with a cool looking rat rod running around up here. Neat to see that thing making miles.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

Looks like it's running around in Arkansas now judging by Boogs wife and the 501 phone number on the building in background. I'd seen it at a car show or Petit Jean couple years ago I think it's the same one. If I remember right, he said he'd driven it from Alaska.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

Those wheels do peak my interest and those huge looking rear tires. The cab is a little rough but hey, it's a work truck. I'm glad he's using it.

Re: Anyone recognize this truck ?

Cool truck. Not much travel between rear tire and fender with no load.
