Any body men available in the Hampton roads area?
My father and I are currently rebuilding a 1972 Chevy c10 custom deluxe and we have no idea what we're doing when it comes to doing bodywork. We live in the Hampton roads area in Virginia (Norfolk to be precise) and we would be extremely grateful if someone who knows what they're doing could come over to where we have the truck and help us out with the bodywork. We have a weilder and all the necessary protection for it but we really don't know how to wield so we're at a really tough spot with the truck since we cut all the rusted metal out already and we already have all the replacement metal for it. If someone could help us out it would fantastic.

The only people I can think of is Dan and the gang over at FantomWorks! :-)
Might try posting a question in the Southeast region forum. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...splay.php?f=54

Re: Any body men available in the Hampton roads area?
You might try stopping by one of your local shops and asking to speak to the owner. Explain your situation and that you are looking for a guy who wants to earn some "side money" as you can't (or don't want to) sent the truck to the shop. By the way this is how I met my bodyman and it's a really good set up for me.
anyhow, some will tell you to get lost, and others might remember when they were young and needed extra money and pass your info on to one of their guys. My bodyman does all my work at my house, my tools, drinks, & food. That way it doesn't cost him a penny to come to my house and work. We square up at the end of the day and schedule when/if the next work session will happen. Can't hurt to try.

Re: Any body men available in the Hampton roads area?
Just bumping this one up since I got more responses. I will be giving hart rod a call sometime soon to see if you can possible come by and help. The only unfortunate thing is we're strapped on cash at the moment and we really just need someone to help us set up our weilder and teach us how to weild. I can pay in pizza and beer haha.
