TF Passenger Door Mirror Brace

Good morning all. Anyone know who carries an internal brace for passenger side door mirror? I see where the door frame (but not skin) has the 3 holes established, but there is no support brace like the driver's side has. Thanks much, Jim

Re: TF Passenger Door Mirror Brace

I did not worry about the brace, I just made a template, drilled the three passenger holes, bolted down the screws and welded the screws to the existing reinforcing plate. Here is a photo.

Thanks. I was looking at just doing that as well, but didn't know if it would be strong enough if the mirror was bumped, etc. Especially since the driver's side has the brace welded to the inner skin too. Thanks, Jim

Good point, I have not painted the door yet so might go back and fab something up, easy bend for a 16 GA piece.

Re: TF Passenger Door Mirror Brace

Same here. I drilled the holes and used some thick washers on the inside for support. I'm using the five inch round mirrors and have no problem with the mirror vibrating or shaking at highway speed.

Re: TF Passenger Door Mirror Brace

Thanks guys. Sounds like a reinforced plate with welded nuts might do the trick then - maybe even at 100 plus!

Cheers, Jim
