Springs on top of rear axle?
69 C-10 longbed 1/2 ton.
There are additional coil springs on top of my rear axle, and I know this isn't the best source of info, but they aren't shown in the LMC catalog. Is this the "heavy duty rear spring" option? I don't have an original spid, and I'm a newbie, so thought I'd ask. Thanks. |

Could be aftermarket load levelers

Re: Springs on top of rear axle?
Yup, definitely aftermarket overloads. I had those on my K20 for many years before replacing them with Hellwig leaf packs a few years ago.

Re: Springs on top of rear axle?
I have a similar set in my garage floor that came off my truck along with the actual overload springs and plates which these trucks came with. No need for them with airbags

Re: Springs on top of rear axle?
Awesome. Got your PM. I'll call next week because I'm out of town until Tuesday. I can come over during the day and bring my truck.

Re: Springs on top of rear axle?
Love it! Better make it a half-rack though. Back when I was still drinking and stuff was paid for with beer, it was usually shared on the spot....
