S-10 Brake upgrade?
Hey guys, I recently dismantled my 96 S10 Blazer and have a brake master cylinder and booster. I was thinking about mocking it up and maybe using this for a cylinder/booster upgrade.
My question is this: since the MC in the truck is the single line small resi style, and if i could get the Blazer MC to work, Would I connect the hardline to the front or rear port on the New MC? This is what the MC looks like: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...+brake+booster

Re: S-10 Brake upgrade?
The S10 booster is one of the boosters that is compatible with my booster brackets.
When you change to a dual reservoir master cylinder, you must convert your truck to a split brake system.

Re: S-10 Brake upgrade?
I'm still ironing out the kinks of doing the job as it's my daily driver, but with the right bracket, it'll work just fine.

Re: S-10 Brake upgrade?
Is your truck disc/drum or drum/drum?
The S truck master cylinder is for a disc/drum system. The larger port and reservoir go to the front system, since the disc require more fluid displacement for operation. K

Re: S-10 Brake upgrade?
the 96 s10 blazer uses the same MC as the s10 trucks, and they are pretty small. A good upgrade is the 98+ blazer MC, its larger for the dual piston front brakes, or even better, a 98+ booster and a 99 fullsize MC
