for anyone who orders or was thinking about ordering from the truck shop

let me be clear here 1st i have found out lately that im not very good with words lately so that being said i want to say that this post is in no way a bashing post its merely just meant to be helpful to you all .... ok so i ordered a full window cat gut kit ( aka Window felt kit ) from the truck shop.. its a nice kit goes on well and is not a glue in .. but lol here is the helpful part check your Window divider rubber seal if it is still soft and good and tight then leave it lol.. because i ripped mine out because it was Hard as a rock but the kit from them on that part is not a thick rubber seal anymore now its just the fuzzy part of a Velcro tape as in the part that Velcro hooks will stick to .. yup thats right just that.. so now as you can imagine the window dose move a bit in that part of the channel .. confused about this before putting it in . i called them and asked for the tech Dept .. got put on hold for a lil over 10 mins lol only to be told by the same lady who put me on hold .. we don't have a tech dept ...lol so i asked her about this and she says its designed be a replacement kit for the factory so they are right use them .. ok so again for the price the kit is very good and snaps into place .. but if you can save your divider rubber .. do so you will be much more happy ..... Happy Truckin

From my experience, they're very good in knowing what is in their catalog. That's about it. YMMV

Yeah. They don't reproduce that part anymore so they give you the stick on felt. I am not 100% sure but I think Soft Seal dose make it.

The one I got from LMC was like that but the set I got from Brothers was like the factory felt.

Experienced same problem here--several years ago, so do not remember clearly. But, is there room for 2 layers to take up the extra room and still leave room for glass-sliding?

I have had nothing but good experiences with all of my orders from the Truck and Car Shop. I've placed orders with the Calif and the newer NC store. They sell the original style window channel run. It is part number 60-075105 on page number 67 of their January 2015 catalog. I agree that the sales lady should have known more about their catalog products. My OE Division bar inserts were $22 and worth every penny. Fit and work great.

Aren't there 2 options. For glass with the chrome edge, and for glass without?

Perhaps you got the wrong one?

Yes. You need to understand that the OE style doesn't come in a kit. You need to order the OE style if you want the nice kind. Unfortunately, the OE style are not available as a kit.

I'm not saying that you should have known better or anything like that. The Truck and Car Shop catalog should say something to help customers know what they are ordering and that the kit has the CHEAP universal style division bar inserts. I guess I knew to order the OE style inserts because I either read somewhere else that the kit had the thin cheap ones. I also figured that if they sell the OE style as a separate item, then the COUNTERPART kits must not have the correct inserts.

So, I am just trying to help you find the part you want. Not trying to make any issues about who did what. I'm not certain what other vendors sell, but I'd say that if you order any division bar insert made by COUNTERPART, (by itself or in a kit) you can pretty much be sure that it's gonna be the thin cheap insert.

Re: for anyone who orders or was thinking about ordering from the truck shop

as blown240 said 2 types, one for the windows with the metal around the edge and one for no metal. I got the stick on as it's the only type for the metal edge that i could find. the other looks like it snaps in some way? aren't 64-66 tks all without the metal?

I got the kit from bowtiebits because they are here in town and it had the correct seal and was easy to install. 65 bucks too! Jeff @ btb only picks high quality stuff for his stock.
