Mass/weight of a full set of S/S bed strips.
Hi there,
Could anyone please tell me the mass/weight in kilograms of a full set of Stainless Steel 1966 C10 Short Fleetside bed strips including fasteners? I need to fly back to England with them in a Ski bag along with the body side mouldings. And the airlines can be brutal on excess baggage. I have emailed LMC and Mar-K as well. Thank you.

Put the hardware in your carry on. The strips will come in a tube, just keep them in that so they don't get damaged. No need to transfer them to a bag.

Impressive... Thank you for the reply.
Got a reply from Mar-K, they do seem more interested than some to do business. Vicky in sales is always on the ball !! Anyway, the strips for future reference are: I’m afraid I do not do kilograms & centimeters, but in pounds and inches the numbers are: Bed Strips 23 lbs 82” x 3” x 3” Hidden Fasteners 2 lbs 12” x 4” x 5” Or, if you mean a bolt kit instead of the hidden fastener bed strips: Bolt Kit 6 lbs 12” x 4” x 5” What this means is that I should weigh in within the extra baggage limit

keep your strips and body side molding separate, you know how baggage folks can be....

Re: Mass/weight of a full set of S/S bed strips.
The trouble is the first extra case is £50 or $75 and each case after that is about £100 or $150 so putting two extra items in the hold is very costly.
