Question about big rear glass install

I just installed the rear glass in my truck using a precission seal. Unfortuneately, when I was done I noticed that the seal puckers around the two bottom curves of the glass. It's okay on the two top corners (which are more gradual). Is this normal? I can't remember whether or not the old seal puckered. How can be this be corrected?

It is split. It wraps around with joint in the middle. Then a lock bead is put in.

Okay. I uaed the same one on my small window and had similar puckers, but smaller. I believe the solution is to pull the rubber tighter and trim a little more off the joint. When I did mine I didn't want to trim too much and end up with a gap so I erred the other way and left it long, which then puckered those bottom corners.

IIRC mine did something like this. In my case the window was too far to the inside of the cab. I gently but firmly, with a hand on the inside and hand on the outside near the affected corners, pushed up and out to line up the window better with the opening and the seal straightened out.

I just tried your suggestion and it helped, but there is still a pucker on each side. I even took out the lock bead and so the window would have more give, which seemed to help. Funny thing though, when I put the lock bead back in, it was now about 6" too short.

I have now reinstalled the back window three times. The last time with a lot of stretching of both the seal and the lock bead. I was able to reduce the pucker significantly from the picture I originally posted, but there is still a slight pucker on the inside of the two bottom curves. Is it even possible to completly remove the pucker from these curves??

Probably not. I dont know why they don't make this an endless type seal with formed corners, like the windshield rubber is.
Be careful not to stretch it too much or over time with heating it will shrink a little and you may he left with a little gap where the ends meet.

Mine fit perfect but I got the glass from a glass shop. Your glass might not be cut correctly causing the seal to cup in the corner.

You can relieve the pucker...but you'll have to do a small "relief cut in the molding and then remove a little excess material.

And if you're ok with doing that, use a little RTV Black to hold the corners down and then clean up the excess.

Done correctly, you should not even see a seam...
