Removing cruise control
So I have never used the cruise control and just yesterday it seemed to develop a vac leak in the mechanism mounted on the inside wheel well. It was causing a rough idle and lack of power, I pulled the line and plugged it and no problem since. I searched the forum and found several threads on repairing the system but I would prefer to remove it. So my question is: is there anything that would be affected by the removal of the cruise control and all its apparatus (vac lines, cable to tranny, wires to column, etc.) I figure if I never use it there's no reason to fix it and would be better served to remove it. Any tips or help appreciated. Truck is a 78 GMC C15 with 350/TH350. No emissions anything if that matters.

Re: Removing cruise control
No idea but I'll gladly take the parts and pay shipping. Particularly the vacuum servo and if you can please try to remove it without any damage.
