I can't find much factory literature to support a borg warner t-89 (specifically) in a truck application for GM, but there was an optional HD 3 speed. I saw this trans up a few weeks ago when it 1st posted on Ebay.
Most T-89s I'm aware of were Ford/Jeep applications. Very rare indeed if its factory correct for 60-66

The GM chart above lists a Warner 3 speed. But the only one I can veryify is the Borg t-16 used in 1968. I'll do some more digging tonight.
I know Muncie had a HD 3 speed also....
