Seat Belts - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I need to vent.

I installed the driver's side 3 point shoulder harness seat belts from on line vendor, "J's".

They are beautiful belts with aircraft latches for that retro look, powder coated black with the Chevy logo embossed on the latch. Custom made length to come up through the slot in the bench seat. Got the first one done, even had the wife help with the floor bolt. Sat down, went to test them and the insert is for the newer push button belts not the aircraft latch. Crap, crap. crap.

Tab A does NOT fit into slot B. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Thanks I feel better now....

Yes. Luckily it will be fairly easy to swap when the replacements arrive.

Were they good in responding to your problem? If so, then I'd say no harm/no foul. Anyone can make a mistake it's what they do about it that truly counts. At least to me.

Will not know until Monday. I'm sure they will take care of it.

Re: Seat Belts - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Blame it on the new kid in the box them up section and call it good.

That's a good looking latch part on the belt. Hope you don't mind if I go that way on mine.

Re: Seat Belts - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

There are a lot cheaper out there but these are very well done, but pricey. It took me a while to convince myself that they were worth it, but now that I have them they are just how I want this truck to be.

Re: Seat Belts - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I talked to the retailer who had the manufacturer call me and they are shipping direct to me today. Nice when people stand behind what they sell.

Sure is. Which company? I like the looks of the belt.

Julianos is the retailer. Seatbelt Solutions is the maker.

Re: Seat Belts - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I talked to the supplier on Monday and the correct belts showed up Wednesday. So far so good. I'll post some completed pictures once they are installed.

Re: Seat Belts - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Install was easy. I measured about a dozen times to make sure they were positioned correctly. Here are the pictures.

I look forward to doing things on this truck that are not a problem...
