Cpp Trans crossmember install

I'm trying to install my cpp Trans crossmember and it won't fit between the frame rails. Any of you guys have a problem with this? This is on my 67 c10

Re: Cpp Trans crossmember install

How bad of a "won't fit" is it?

I didn't buy CPP, but when I replaced my trans and trailing arm cross members, I had to help convince the frame to accept the new pieces. But mine were just about 1/8" off. I had to push part of the frame open and also squeeze part of the frame together.

You can always grind a bit of the mounting flange on each side if it's not bad. I know some people are fitting those with no issues so unless they changed the width the fitment issue is exclusive to your truck.

Re: Cpp Trans crossmember install

Just got mine in this week. It took some persuasion from a block of wood and sledge hammer, but it fit.

I'm sure I can get it in with some persuasion. Just wanted to make sure before I go hammering something into place. Thanks guys!

Ok, I feel like a real dope lol. I was putting it in backwards. It slid right in when I was doing it right!
