Hood Hinges
Installed new hood hinges on my 1950 AD and it seems to have the hood sitting flush with the cowl on the sides but in the middle is raised up about inch. What could be the problem

Re: Hood Hinges
Did you install the springs to hold the hood open?

Re: Hood Hinges
If you take them off and does the hood lay on the rubber on the back of the cowl

Re: Hood Hinges
On the '54 we just did, in order to get the hood to lay flat, we removed the clutch head screws from the center piece of the rear hood brace and put washers under the outboard holes and tightened the brace back up(no washers under the center holes). Our problem was that the hood was too tight on the sides at the back. The washers brought the outsides of the hood up just a bit and now it lays flat.
