1998 Blazer Auto to Manual swap
So a buddy of mine has a 1998 Blazer with an automatic. He wants to swap over to a manual. He has another Blazer to pull from for the swap. I know the basics that the trans will swap over. The pedals and computer need to be changed out. Possibly the driveshafts, and cross member. Will any of the wiring need to be changed out? Has anyone done this to give some advice? My suggestion would be to safety the manual one and drive that but he did not like that suggestion.

Re: 1998 Blazer Auto to Manual swap
Unless your doing an engine swap as well i wouldnt advise it, its a real pain in the butt even when you have a doner cause like hugger said, there alot more different than one being auto and stick.

Re: 1998 Blazer Auto to Manual swap
We took the truck in for safety and there was less for the safety then there would be to do the swap.
