What are these lenses?

These are "NOS", and carry the GM part numbers for at least replacement parts for our old trucks and I believe late model GM Vans. Couldn't tell you who manufactures(ed) them.

Just a little odd they sport the GM part numbers, and they look a lot like the originals. I couldn't tell you what the markings are, because I've never seen a close-up.

Re: What are these lenses?

I pulled the trigger on one, but canceled the order right away. Sometimes my eyes fail me. That and my brain. To do it over, I'd ask for a snapshot of the box and close-up of the lens. Mostly for a reaction, and to see what if anything is printed on these lenses.

Re: What are these lenses?

They do not say Guidex anywhere on the lens, so I'd bet it'd be safe to say that they are not NOS, but are an older reproduction stock. Without seeing the entire box, I can't definitively say for certain, but highly doubt they are GM originals.

Yep........They're "NOS" reproduction parts.

Re: What are these lenses?

This becoming the Ebay norm. Taking photos along side of a NOS box and trying to pass off as a genuine part.

They take the photo of the front of a box, but it's not a GM box that I can tell. Shows the part numbers for vans and our trucks. For the life of me, I don't know how they get get away with that, unless GM contracted them out.

Other than this lens, which I canceled, the only time I've been burned was a "pair" of "NOS" door weather strips. From condition to falsified part numbers, I couldn't return them fast enough.

Re: What are these lenses?

The box next to the part trick. There's a few sellers on eBay who do this. I always ask for close up pics and directly if the box is included.

I have a very narrow definition of NOS and these days eBay is a scammers wet dream.

As always buyer beware and research is your friend.
