Re: 1970 GMC Suburban 3/4 Ton 4x4 For parts/restore
Ok, will have to try and get back there. Unsure where to look for the ratio on the rear itself. Didn't get a chance to crawl under it while I was there. Looks like it might be next weekend before I get back there.
For now though, these are all pictures of it from yesterday after I finished. The only parts in here that are spoken for are the arm rests and the other parts I said I was keeping previously. I will cut other parts of the body out once everything else is removed, as it will need to go to the junkyard soon after the body gets cut up. Glass is all good, too, so if someone needed that, I could remove it, but would prefer it be picked up. here are the pictures: http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/k...SuburbanParts/

Re: 1970 GMC Suburban 3/4 Ton 4x4 For parts/restore
Some of the parts asked for:
Wheels (won't be removed until the truck is headed to the junkyard, or the axles are removed. Rear End: Driver's seat (rails broke at back and need welding up. Frame is straight. Fabric acceptable for a driver.) Free picked up Picture of one of the rear spring hangers for the person who asked

Re: 1970 GMC Suburban 3/4 Ton 4x4 For parts/restore
Rear brake area:
Front axle: Driver's side floor. this is the worse area. needs cab support and part of the floor. Rest of underside in nice in cab area, and just needs Rockers and minor floor patches. Sunroof by Mother Nature. Can get a replacement panel for the interior part of this through LMC. Truck is probably suitable for a 4 door truck build, but the rear of the sub is rusted out a bunch and wasn't worth saving. The front has rust, but it all appears to be places you could replace fairly easily. Hardest part would be the front of the roof.

Re: 1970 GMC Suburban 3/4 Ton 4x4 For parts/restore
Should be going over there to take a look at it and grab a few small parts. Unsure if I iwll be able to check the rear ratio or not at this time. Will try though.
Rear wheel wells are sold. Spare tire well is still available. Open to offers on other stuff. Also open to offers on the truck as it sits.

Re: 1970 GMC Suburban 3/4 Ton 4x4 For parts/restore
If you are cutting it up, I will be filling in the piece (indent) for the spare tire. So I could use a piece from the opposite side as a filler. Pm if you can and how much.
thx, Al.
