Decent looking truck 4 a decent price?

I know this usually gets into a flame contest with those guys who state they find these trucks out there "all the time for less than a grand", but to me this truck looks like a solid example of a nice old truck for a fair asking price. Not affiliated with truck or owner in any way.
If you are one of those guys who can but these way cheaper in better condition you should post pics and links of those trucks. ie; pics or it didn't happen.
Here it is in AZ list of craigs stuff 4 sale.

People who find trucks for less aren't going to post links...they go out and buy them

True. Didn't think about that aspect of it.

All I was trying to say was I get so sick of people spouting "that's a $1500 truck" if that. Really?
I am not saying I would jump on it for that price (got too many already) but I think for some folks in some parts of North America the truck is solid and fairly close to a good price. He's gotta start somewhere.
Not to mention the owner could be a member. I would hate to have someone flaming my truck I had for sale. So much so, the last couple I sold I never posted here they were for sale.

Re: Decent looking truck 4 a decent price?

Well, I am probably biased since I paid just about exactly that amount for mine, a C20 Cheyenne, here in Northern Cal. I thought it was a pretty good deal for the shape it was in. Not a show truck by any means, but clean and well taken care of. Seems about right in my opinion.

Re: Decent looking truck 4 a decent price?

knowing what i do now, i would buy it in a heart beat if it was an option. here in the midwest, its hard to find them that clean for that price. it has some nice options and doesnt look to have any rust.i will have half that just in rust repair on my truck

Well, I disagree with you. I think yours looks a lot better. Good score. I like that whole look.

I like the duel spotlights also, were they an option that would be on the SPID or a dealer add on? I have one dad gave me I'd like to put on, its just hard drilling the hole in the piller after its been the way it is for so many years.. What are the two chrome discs on both sides of the box just before the wheel well?

Thanks cooper, as has been said many times, it seems the true value is whatever someone is willing to pay. My Bro-in-law bought a 69 for 3 or 4 times what I paid, but he can afford it and loves older cars/trucks. On the flip side, have a neighbor who loves older chevy trucks but thinks you're nuts if you pay more than $2000-$3000. But, he has the fab/sheetmetal/welding skills to fix them up. One thing seems certain, the prices will only keep going up.

Re: Decent looking truck 4 a decent price?

That's absolutely good value for $7500 obo (asking).
I'll bet that $6500 would take it....and that would be hard to beat if its as solid as it looks.
Nicely optioned big block....nice truck...good find and a great chance to get into the hobby with a nice (ready to go) truck.
I have to agree about the 'low ball assessors'...they rarely post up anything as good for the same money when they do wade in.
My two bits.

Two trucks with ford mirrors. What are the odds? Quite common

Re: Decent looking truck 4 a decent price?

Seems like great deal to me. Put the right set of rims or hubcaps ( buyers choice of course ) on it and it would come to life. I think the truck is a great value for the asking price.

Great looking truck. Too bad there's not a picture of the spid since tilt wheel wasn't an option until 69. This could be a tribute CST truck.

Yeah the column looks like it was changed out....my 12k truck....could only get 6k for it....rebuilt big block, got the a/c working.....I like the looks of the 3/4 tons but man they don't sell for what the half tons sell for by a wide margin.

Right on brother. That was a lot of truck for the money. if it would have been a half ton short bed fleet side you would have got the 12K.
