Front dif. pinion depth setting
Need help to set my pinion depth. Anyone got a way to start from scratch to figure out what shims should be used without one of them fancy factory tools few people actually have. opened my dif up and there were too many shims on outer pinion shaft, and some back yard fixer didn't even use any carrier shims so I am starting fresh.

On a 44 I always start with 40 thousands under the pinion and then go from there. They usually end up at 35-45 thousands.
