brake cylinder fixed!
Thank you everyone for the help! I got my free floater axle put back together.
It was not that hard and the instructions that were given to me here were amazing! the write up on the axle was great! I ended up fixing it with out out having to remove a break shoe or a spring if you are careful you can remove the brake cylinder and re-install with out touching anything else. I had my 12 year old help me bleed it and it only took a few minutes since I made sure to keep fluid in it and not let it go dry. pedal is nice and stiff. I cant wait to take it for a ride again. Weather didn't allow for it last night but I did drive it back and forth in the garage to try it out lol. One thing I did find funny was there was absolutely no where to adjust the brake adjuster. no hole in the drum or in the backing plate. I just got the adjuster close when I slide the drum back on. Do you keep these adjusted by backing up and slamming on the brakes? are these self adjusters or am I missing something? When I took it apart the drum slide off nice for me and didn't hang up. Thanks again guys. |
