Educate me please. Are these trans to crossmember spacers? If so I may have one on one of the 2 TH400 parts trucks I just got.

Dave,
I was at the pick-n-pull today looking at a 67 with a th400. I pulled the shim thinking of you. It is not quite the same as the one you have pictured. The corners are square not 45 like the one in the picture. It has three letters stamped in it ACC or something I can't remember. Let me know if you are interested I will get a picture of it.

Re: WTB. th400 mount spacers (see pic)

Are these shims necessary for a big block application? I am switching from a 250 to a 402.

Thanks,
Mark

Re: WTB. th400 mount spacers (see pic)

Sorry for the questions. Does it require 2 or "as necessary"? I presume they are to level the engine and trans?

Re: WTB. th400 mount spacers (see pic)

Sorry to dig up an old thread. I have another question. Got the 402 in and now I have a leak at the rear of the transmission pan that I did not have before. Could it be because these spacers are missing, and the trans is sloping down to the rear too much? It is definitely coming from the pan gasket and not the output seal. Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can give me.

Thanks,
Mark
