The picture in post 48 looks lower comparing the tire to the fender. Are the pictures reversed?

Yes I would agree. I've always played it safe, cut a 1/4 coil drive for a least 50 miles and then check. On my 32 Chevy I ended up with 5/8 coil total...Jim

Ok thanks Jim, I'm gonna run it around for a while whilst I collect some new parts then I'll do some cutting & fit the parts.
