I found a 72 Cheyenne Super 20 doner for the power steering box, brake booster w/ brake rod, bracket, master cylinder, and proportioning valve.

Will this work for my 70 C10 - 307 3speed?
I've searched and read that the brakebooster should bolt up.

I've also read the power steering will bolt up if my frame is indented.

Do I need the steering rod connected to the power gear box(the rod that connects to the steering column)?

Will i need to use a 72 pitman arm when installed?

Will i need to use a 72 pitman arm when installed? YOU SHOULD INSTALL THE PS BOX AND IT'S PITMAN ARM, NO NEED TO USE THE ONE OFF YOUR MANUAL BOX.

Don't forget the PS Pump/brackets, as well as the lower crank pulleys (assuming your donor is a small block truck)

It had a 350.
The motor is gone but the pump, bracket and pulleys will be the easy thing to find.

oh yeah i also got the instrument panel with the gauges from the same truck.

Do you know if it will need mods?
I got idiot lights.

I took the oil sender assembly which attachs to the instr panel.

yes you need to change the whole wiring harness out, the idiot light dash is wired completley different then the guages, so its best to get the wiring harness out of the other truck, or else you will fry your electrical system

Paul has a faq about swapping idiot light clusters to full guage. http://gmcpauls.com/Tech%20Tips1.htm

But you could always swap the inside and outside harness too.
