Is there a tool to remove the inner grill's plastic clips?
My 1972's inner grill is held in place by a number of plastic clips that have an insert into holes in the outter grill that spread apart in 4 directions. Sorry not to have a pic as the laptop won't upload pics for some reason.
Is there a tool that will collapse those 4 "wings" at once? What is that tool and where do I get myself one? |

Re: Is there a tool to remove the inner grill's plastic clips?
Trucks that have the E brakes still on have a round spring type clip. The reason I'm telling you this is because when I remove a cable I take a wrench and place on the end then turn it and as it turns a 1/4 turn it closes those "wings" as you call them and then the clip can be pushed or pulled out of the housing that holds them. Is that something you might could try? Is there a center part that pulls out ? some clips have a center that pulls up or out that allows the rest of the clip to fit back through the hole. Jim

Get the inner grill off and I'll paint it, mine is looking rough. I guess "satin silver" is the go to color for this? |
