Dana 44 bearings and gear oil questions

I have a 1971 gmc K10.

For front bearings I found,
Acdelco A35 front bearing kit Includes, LM501349, & LM501310 bearing and race.

And for gear oil I understand the diffs, trans, and transfer case all use 80w90 GL-4.

Can someone confirm I am on the right track before I order these things?

Most sure fire way is to pull the bearings and double check part numbers. There are two different bearing sizes and over the last couple decades who knows what may have been swapped.

Re: Dana 44 bearings and gear oil questions

Those are the outer bearing sets, the inner (if it is still factory) should be a 603049 and a 603011. If you have a later model front the outers will still be the same and the inners wil be a 104949 and a 104910. Don't forget the seals, they are all the same from '60 something all the way up to 91................ 24898
