Happened across a new chevy tailgate the other day. Still had part of the blue GM sticker on it, but couldnt see the part #. It is from the 73 up generation,but not sure exact application. The trunnion holes are "in" the tailgate.(not bolt on). Any idea on how to find out what it fits, and value? It is for a wide bed.

too many,

All the 73-87 tailgates on the fleet side beds are interchangable. Only differences are the latches and the option to bolt up a aluminum trim in the center portion. A new GM tailgate is very expensive. An aftermarket starts at about $89.00. A GM original will be thicker and stronger than an aftermarket. If you can get it for less than say $100 for an original new GM I would get it.

There is a tailgate slight difference is that the model 73-74 not have Chevrolet logo is either a model of 75-80 logo in the center and model of 81-87 have Chevrolet logo on the right side can be seen through research
