Hey GMC,
No this is the axle that's currently under my 64 gmc converted this one to discs, the replacement axle has the 12 inch drums on it its out of a 72 gmc.
The 64 axle spun a hub bearing while I was towing it and screwed the spindle up badly and cant salvage it so witching over to the 72 axle with more friendly 4.10 gears. I will be pulling all the brake stuff off the 72 to put my custom disc conversion kit on it.

Just to be clear, GM offered the No-Spin, which was a Detroit Locker, in the HO52 axle and the Trac-Lok, which was a posi, in the Dana 60. "Detroit Lockers" have also been available for Dana 60s in the aftermarket and that's what it looks like is being offered here, not a Trac-Lok. $400 is a great price.

Does the front d60 take a different type unit?

Guys this is the aftermarket No Spin carrier I bought it when I was rebuilding my axle.
JJZepplin you could use it in a standard dana 60 front but I dont know how well it would work
Going to be tearing into and breaking the axle down tommorrow and will post pictures when its out

I'm offering a Trac Lok out of a 71 D60 which as I recall was the only offering GM did for the D60. I was thinking the "No Spin" was labeled on both but your correct on that being only for the HO72. 250.00 plus shipping for the posi unit. Thanks, Tom

ok an update on this lol not needing the trac lock diff looking for the 69 n down power lok diff that was available in the d60 series trucks. The Detroit no spin I still have will be pulling the axle middle of October when the truck is back from body shop and post some pictures of it. MY truck originally had the power lok differential in it.
