350 sound

How come all 350 engines sound different? I know people run different setups but I drive past trucks in town and NONE sound anything like alike. For example before I built my 350 I was running a stock 350 cam edelbrock intake and carb and flow master 40s. Now I have I weiand intake Holley carb and a Thumpr cam with the same exhaust setup. Its crazy that every single one sounds different lol

Re: 350 sound

there is alot of differences over the years.
different types of manifolds then you have headers
different exhaust systems
different mufflers
stock cats/aftermarket cats/no cats
and just about everything else plays a part too.

my 77 C10 has a mild 350 with 2 1/2 inch duals with long tube headers and cherry bomb glasspacks. my stepdad has a Dakota with a 318 that has stock manifolds and 2 1/2 inch duals with thrush glasspacks. they are night and day i mean they dont sound alike whatsoever even with similar setups.

i like to be unique. unlike all those mustang guys that sound alike lol
