Re: Anyone know how to remove this?

are you reusing the wiring harness?

They plug into each other (inside and outside) so they are probably stuck from years of corrosion. Should be able to wiggle the outside piece from the inside piece...

inside piece

Re: Anyone know how to remove this?

looks like the left has a bit of silicone, that might be keeping it from wiggling apart too...

Re: Anyone know how to remove this?

It comes apart in two pieces. Just pull gently and wiggle side to side, each piece individually.

I use aan old sharp putty knife to ease around the perimeter of the box a little bit at a time to loosen it up till it is free

your local autoparts store likely has a set of interior panel removal tools. They are strong enough to pry the connector halves apart without chipping the case of the connector. And, as much as I hate the place, Radio Shack has a silkicone based spray for electrical connectors that will help with the corrosion that is binding your connector together. WD40 will also work but if there is any waterproofing on the engine side, it won't be there after you spray it with that stuff.

Re: Anyone know how to remove this?

Once separated from the firewall push the smaller of the harnesses through the bigger of the two halves. That is how I split the wiring harness from the front lamp harness. In reverse if your holding the big part put the small part in front of the clip then pull it back towards you. It will click in to lock. jim

Re: Anyone know how to remove this?

You guys were right there was a little silicon holding the two pieces together, I just got a flat head screwdriver, and a hammer, and very gently got the two apart. Thanks!
