Finally getting around to swapping 14 bolt semi to 14 bolt FF ?'s
Hello
This is a project I've been meaning to get to for years now. I'm moving out of state soon and I want to get this done before I leave. The 14bff is out of a suburban (I think it was an 86'). My 14bsf is stock for my 87' R20. I've ordered new U-bolts and plates and all the Brake parts. But my main question is the U joint. Will my stock U joint fit. Or do I need a conversion U joint and if so which one? I'm sure I read about this when I first started this but now I can't remember and can't seem to find it. Thanks

In stock form, I believe both use the same 1350 joint. Check and see if both yokes have the "secure tabs" on each side.
My 14SF has 1350 joints.
