later model parts interchange???
Anybody here have knowledge of later model parts from say a 88-99 chevy full size truck working on 67-72 c10's and 20's?
For example, would front spindles and disc brakes from 88-99 2wd chevy trucks work on my 68? |

Re: later model parts interchange???
Depends on if the control arms were relatively the same. So you could use the later model ball joints. You would also have to use the late model outer tie rod ends.

Re: later model parts interchange???
Control arms are a no go. there was something about putting the spindles from the LD 3/4 ton and outside steering but you had to have 68 control arms for the bottom ball joint to fit and those that did do it could never get the alignment right. I had plans on using all that stuff to do a disc brake changeover cause I still have a full front suspension from a 95 LD 3/4 ton at the shop. I read about people not making it work right so I gave up on it maybe do a search 95 ld 3/4 ton front disc changeover
