2010 escalade seat swap into 72 K20
So I got really lucky and picked up a set of front bucket seats from a 2010 cadillac escalade they are black leather heated, cooled, power and lumbar. These seats are going into my 72 K20. In terms of fit its pretty much a bolt in application ( once I drill the for holes) basically the seat frame fit our floors very nicely.
My problem is with the drivers seat controls, I have traced the wires which make the movement controls and lumbar work (small red & white, small purple & white and large red & white plus large black ground), however they work intermitantly. Anyone know if there is another wire I also need to connect out of the 20-25 wires in plug which would normally plug into the harness of the escalade? The passenger seat had less wiring an took a few minutes to get it working but this drivers seat. I'll get some pics up tomorrow, the seats are back on the ground right now and i've lost patience with this intermitant control for today. |

I can't help you with your wires but I would really like to see some pics of this soon as your done, or even in the process. These are my seats of choice if I end up switching from stock.

Re: 2010 escalade seat swap into 72 K20
I got the seats to work but only intermit. Seems like there is a position sensor for each function and since its not hooked up the motors just stop hence the intermittence. I am however speculating.

Re: 2010 escalade seat swap into 72 K20
I used the 99 Tahoe seats with no memory. 6 way electric and heated. All works well now. I recovered them myself after putting the E-bay heaters in.
The memory settings are what has the seats not functioning correct is what I would think. After looking back on this I see where I posted on this before in your other thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=645808

Re: 2010 escalade seat swap into 72 K20
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 99 Tahoe Seats your referring to are the black ones that are pictured correct? I'd like to get a confirmation of the year/make/model of the red seats that 67ctener posted.

Re: 2010 escalade seat swap into 72 K20
Nice seats 72BBCK20 ! Are you certain they were functioning normally before you got a hold of them ? If so I would suspect a loose connection somewhere in your wiring. A wiring diagram would really help out to identify the wires/ functions to the Power Seat Module/ECU & motors

Re: 2010 escalade seat swap into 72 K20
I'm guessing pure speculation that 67 centers seats are 2008+ model that he had re covered eliminated headrests etc. possibly even chopped them a little.
