PORTER BUILT VS CPP. I know the answer. Pics inside
Both companies have great products. Porter built is real high end and CPP is a good product with economy pricing.. I will buy either one as they both do the job they are supposed to do. My question is, PBF has coil overs and CPP has coil springs.SOOOOoooo, for what i want is a smooth firm ride. Not harsh or stiff. Whats going to give me a better ride?? Im thinking coil springs. Im no suspension expert, thats why im asking. I plan to pro tour the truck and plan on long distance driving. So lets hear your input. Here are PBF arms.
and CPP I plan on a 5/7 drop like this, well they look like 5/7 |

The coilovers will give you more adjustment so you can dial in the ride and handling you want. And to me the pb stuff looks built better so less flex or things to break if you push it hard.

Is the CPP kit even available anymore? I looked on their site and even googled it and I cant find a price or part number for it.

The ccp kit was more for a 67-72 they did a little work on so it fit the 73-87 trucks.

So the current CPP 67-72 crossmembers will work on a square body? I've got a email into CPP about but being the weekend I don't expect a quick reply. I'd love to make my 85 GMC ride better but can't afford the porter built set up.

It says CPP's New '63-87 Chevy Trailing Arm Conversion but not listed on their site like that. After looking hard at those tiny pictures the front crossmember looks a little different but might just be me.
