Time to get serious

Got a 10% off coupon from Tractor Supply so I figured it is time to get serious about learning to weld and do my own repairs.

Here I go, wish me luck..

10% ? You sold get that with Veteran status. I have learned to use it as much as possible. Nice set up. Once you get rolling you will want more power. Found some areas where I wanted more heat. '62 frame seems thicker than the '63 I helped the neighbors with.

Yeah, the tractor supply here doesn't do military discount. Matter of fact, when I was in Pensacola, that TS didn't either.

Re: Time to get serious

Congratulations! I have that same setup and it helped get my truck from rust bucket status to super clean driver. Now it's the handiest tool I own! It's already paid for itself many times with just the paint job on my truck! I've ran into different broken part situations at home in which the welder saved me the time and money of ordering a new part. I just fired it up and welded it from my garage door opener bracket to my exhaust on my old tractor so some brackets for my jeep bumper to name a few.

That's a good machine. I've had my Hobart 135 for almost 20 years, not one break down.
