eagle

eagle set and feathers set are different ....eagle set depicts what looks like the head of an eagle on front fender with what is supposed to depict feathers flowing down side of truck...feathers kit was for blazers only and is just the stylized feathers....i have a dealer poster here somewhere that shows all of them on vehicles....if i find it i'll take a picture and post it.....

NOPE Eagle is a Feathers. Here is a post that has a copy of the original Feather brochure and it shows the Eagle as being one. It usualy came on the long beds.

The one your talking about is called the "Sport Bird".

insert foot

thanks for the clarification reaper.....all of those sets are not "feathers" decals.....the feathers decals are ON the blazer and the ones underneath are just adds for those...eagle, flame, rippler etc... they even had one called the "mod" package...this was all part of sales gimmick called "operation new trend"...(chemically influenced board meeting would be my guess)...also "sport bird" was just some magazine writers title....chevrolet never called it that....i noticed from the ad with the feathers blazer that it said feathers package was avail on trucks and burbs so i must be wrong on that ...just never seen feathers depicted on a truck or burb before

dubie....awesome picture...never actually seen the eagle decals on a "live" truck before...seen blazers with the feathers package and one truck with the hawk package and thats about it....we need a thread started for pics of these trucks with the decal packages......mike

Isn't it amazing how they managed to get a decal to attach to the "lumpy" finish on the blazer hardtop? I'm lucky if I can get paint to attach no less a decal!!!!
