Bleeding front disc brakes '82 K20

New calipers and pads. Have clear hose attached and in jar of fluid.When I crack the bleeder, no peddle pressure. I get bubbles in the line as if air is leaking past the bleeder treads. I am an old guy and have bled many many systems and have not seen this before. These are coarse threads and the rebuilt maybe loose in the threads. So I am thinking of putting some Teflon tape on the threads. Any thoughts on the subject. Would be a real PIA to change out the caliper. Thank You

Is the brake light on the dash on? The brake idiot light is connected to a brown (if I recall) wire connecting to a block near the MC. That block has a switch and valve that notices a lack of pressure on one side. The valve moves and stops fluid from going to the low pressure side. That would be the side you're bleeding.
Do a search for how to make the stop that keeps the valve from moving. Try the internet so you don't have to wait. Type words into a search engine such as how do I bleed brakes on a GM vehicle. The answer will come to you in one second.

My old calipers did this on my k5 I took them out and put some white grease on them to see if that was were it was coming from and it stopped the air from the threads then I was able to properly use my power bleeder. I don't see why you couldn't use some type of thread sealant I probably will next time I have this issue

Did you put crush washers - two of them on the bango bolts and torque them down tight - this could be an air leak problem. Did you replace the rubber lines at the same time?

I'm in the middle of my own entire brake system overhaul, I have ran into many issues...and I'm still not there yet.

New crush washers on banjos, did not replace hose, that's w/the next round. Will check torque, good idea, thanks, but I think I will try the Teflon tape on the threads.
