Re: question about 71
Maybe 1-ton wheels? If 1-ton truck wheels are like those on some later (all?) 1-ton vans, the hubcaps and the
wheel nibs are different than the 3/4 ton. If so, maybe he's got a 1-ton he would prefer saving them for... ? For that matter, perhaps a 1-ton r.e. was installed or there are duel wheels we can't spot behind the mud flaps ?? Anyhow, looks like a tough truck from the limited info. ![]()

Re: question about 71
Looks to be a very solid truck for not a lot of money to me.
You should know you "threw a piece of steak in the lions den" and asked this hungry bunch of lions "what do you guys think"? I sure would not do that with something I might want to buy. Or a hot girlfriend? ![]()

Re: question about 71
The wheels are probably like the rears in the picture below. I bought them from Dick Cepek back in the day to better handle an 11' cab-over camper. Lots of us ran them only on the rear for camper duty. They are just wider to handle wide high flotation tires like the 12 X 16.5s below. The fronts in the picture are 8.75 x 16.5. I wouldn't say they are special (especially if they are 16.5s). However, if you had a set of 4, someone with a 4WD might want them.
