Blazer tank filler ideas

did anybody ever come up with a cheap easy solution to the Blazer tank filler problem?

hell put a door in the bed of the truck right above the tank.

Run to your nearest magazine shop and purchase a Street Rodder magazine, there is no less than 10 different mnfr's that sell all sorts of doors and stuff like that.

I personally am going to run my "original when I bought the truck" locking ss door, with a modified fuel cell extension, and a quick fill cap from Kugels.

Here is the best pic I have showing the door when it was installed on the side of the bed.

you did drop the truck when you put the suspension back together, right?

i've actually been talked out of the idea of a Blazer tank. it hangs too far below the frame and i wouldnt be able to mount it any higher since im not running a body lift. hanging that low, it would probably get smashed just as easily as the saddle tank im trying to eliminate.

You know, I sometimes question that myself. Although it may look good on the outside, the chassis was a different story...covered in grease and grime...definately not as nice as the outside was.
