Period correct trailer brake controller - Tekonsha

Removed this from my 72 K1500 GMC. The light on the controller worked when pulled. A little dusty but overall condition is excellent. Has original mounting screws. I never made use of it with a trailer. Plumbs to prop valve at the MC. USA made.

How's $35 shipped in CONUS? Would consider trade for nice set of dark olive defrost vents or GB door correct for a base 72 parchment GMC interior ("fawn" color).

Thanks, Pete

Re: Period correct trailer brake controller - Tekonsha

Hello
I am interested in this because I will be moving in the future so I will be towing a trailer.
If you could tell me how this works and hooks up please I can decide weather or not to take it.
It will be going on a 72 C10 long bed.
Thank You K.E.N.

Re: Period correct trailer brake controller - Tekonsha

Hi Ken - I've never used one myself but this would be tapped into the brake line and activated when the brake pedal is depressed to send an electronic signal to the trailer brakes. The Tekonsha Co. is still making these - probably have some relevant guides as to use.

Re: Period correct trailer brake controller - Tekonsha

It's a nice period item and 35 smackers ain't a bad deal.
There's one on eBay right now going for 12K and it comes with a 70c10
No worries and...
Cheers!
