Advice on what to build from the parts I have on hand

To all, I have a lot of parts and want to build a truck to run on the dunes and to pull with. I have a friend that has a short box 96 Chevy with a bad motor that he will sell me and I want to use that body. I also have a 78 blazer that the body is shot with a 350, 350 turbo, Dana 44 front end, and a 12 bolt rear, 203 transfer case, and a 4 inch lift. I also have a 68 Cadillac 472 with a turbo 400 long tail shaft. Is there a way I can bolt a transfer case on to that transmission? The last thing I have is a three-quarter ton long box 73 to 87 Chevy frame with a 14 bolt rear end 2 wheel drive. I would like to use the 14 bolt rear end and probably the Dana 44 front. I would like to know what your opinions R so I can build A heavy duty holler and four wheel drive for the sand dunes here in Michigan. So come up with some combinations that you think would be good from the parts that I have thank you.

I'm pretty sure there are 4X4s out there with a TH400 and 203 transfer case, just with a different output shaft and housing.

Would a Cadillac 400 and the Chevy 400 be the same except for the bolting to the motor, I would assume so. I would like to go with the Caddy 472, its turbo 400 and maybe I should find a NP 205. The Caddy motors have alot of torque, would be good for towing. Should I keep the 96 frame and try and shoehorn in the drivetrain and covert to front springs and the Dana 44 with the 14 bolt rear or go with the Blazer frame and put the 96 body on it? Any opions? I would use the 203 to build a dual range transfer case and go with the blazer frame. Stick with the 350, less fabbing and cheap to build and upgrade.

That sounds like good advice, that would probably be the easiest route to go. I have heard of people doing the dual transfer case thing just not sure on how you go about doing that, guess I'll have to research it. Thanks for the advice.
