headlight doors

I'm working on replacing some busted up grille and headlight parts on my 84. Well I'm over on rockauto and I don't want the doors for the 84 because they're the dark grey/black so I went up to a 87? I believe and its these part #s here GM2513126 and GM2512126, I'm assuming these will work fine am I good to order these?

Thanks, Ricky

Re: headlight doors

Lol yeah I think it's crazy they're called doors too but oh well. Nobody know if these will work or not? I'm 99% sure they will just wanted a solid answer from someone.

Re: headlight doors

The '87 headlight doors will bolt on to your '84 just fine. I assume you know they are a slightly different style.

Re: headlight doors

Sorry Jeff, just have to show you that you're wrong.

Been in the body shop business 30ish years, always been called headlight doors. You order a headlamp bezel and you're liable to end up getting a retaining ring instead.

Lol...i just think the term is strange. Like calling the front fender/core support a dog house.

Re: headlight doors

I got these today from rock auto, they seem to be made fairly well I haven't installed them yet and they are keystones.

Re: headlight doors

They look pretty good. I was hoping they weren't going to be super thin and flimsy
