Master cylinder pushrod questions.

I am removing the vacuum booster and master cylinder,
Going for a manual brakes master cylinder.
I know the pushrod is different, does anybody know how long of one I'll need.

Re: Master cylinder pushrod questions.

I have a hydraulic clutch pedal setup with manual brakes sitting in my garage. I can take a measurement for you. Does the manual brake pedal take a different size pin for the pushrod than the power brake pedal?

Re: Master cylinder pushrod questions.

I haven't taken it apart yet, waiting for the master cylinder to show up.
Was trying to collect parts up before I pull it apart.

Re: Master cylinder pushrod questions.

Yeah, I read that one while searching the board.
I was looking for a length, wondering if this will work.

You shouldnt have to. There is a pushrod on the pedal that pushes into the booster against a second pushrod if I remember right.

Between the pedal and booster, I pulled the booster and master. And can't seem to get the pushrod out of the booster.

Take the pin out of the brake pedal. Should unscrew? Been a while since I had a system off.

Re: Master cylinder pushrod questions.

The back half did, the front half or booster side feels like a clip or something.
But I'm understanding the power brake pushrod would be to short for a manual master cylinder, so the hunt continues.
