Mounting bucket seats in 1970 C10

What are the best mounting brackets to start with to install nice racing buckets seats? My son has a set of JDM type seats that I hope are small enough.

I used the old bench seat mounts and welded a sub frame together that holds a console and both seats (Subaru)- no new holes in the floor being the goal.

this is a good thread about what some people have done, and my writeup of the subaru seats is linked in there too.
