tow hooks?

I recently seen some tow hooks off a 67 3/4 Ton go on ebay for over a couple hundred bucks. Is this normal? I used to have some on a 67 4x4 I had ....if I knew what there worth I'd have taken them off.Are they rare ? I'd like to put some back on my shortbox 4x4.......do repro parts suppliers carry them?

No repro's yet.
At the prices they have been selling for, I'm surprised that an aftermarket company hasn't made them yet and sold them for $75.

And to answer your question, yes, they do bring $200 - $250

Dang you and your fancy tow hooks Jose!!!!! LOL!!!
Those are nice!!
Remeber Jose. Everything is for sale. Everything has a price.
I will be in the market for a set just like that in a few months. I will need them for my 72 3/4 Ton 4X4 Cheyenne Super Restoration. I'm sure I'll have to pay top dollar.
Perhaps I'll buy those there in your picture.

funny thing is, 67-68 hooks are the cheapest of the different kinds. in the middle of the price spectrum is the 69-72 with no curve, and the most expensive type is the set Jose has, with the curve. I'm not sure why they fetch more than the others, but they do.

Some idiot took them off my truck, so now I have to hold out for a set. I don't feel right paying that much cash for some hooks, so I guess I have to find a donor and steal them off, continuing the cycle of evil.

supply/demand aside, isn't it a bit absurd to pay that much for some simple tow hooks???

anyway....are theses super valuable tow hooks only on pickups? or were they installled on larger trucks too, if so i might be able to locate a few for you guys.
