I drove it
I have been working on my 1979 step side frame off for over 7 years now. It has not ran in almost 9 years. I backed her out of the garage last night. My keys are a wire coming from the starter I touch to the battery that is sitting inside the cab, wires hanging every where. Paint cup used for a gas tank wired to the core support. The heater core sitting on the floor. But I backed her out of the garage. A very exciting night for me. Thanks Jeff for being there ready to jump on the motor to kill it in case something went wrong.

Re: I drove it
Congrats Chris - I'm in the same boat - been working on mine and haven't driven it since I picked it up a couple of years ago.
Enjoy that feeling of knowing you're close. Post some picts if you can

Re: I drove it
Wow and I felt like a year was too long for truck to be stuck in the garage. Hahah nice to hear the engine purr though I bet!
