Any VA guys input on window tint?!

Looking to tint my windows. I want the sides and rear done but I don't want to get tickets every week also.. Being a single cab truck has to be different than say an extended or crew cab. I have a single cab.

Here's what the innerwebz say

Virginia
AS-1 / 43% Net / 35% Film / 35% Film / 1993

Enforcement Note : Tint law may technically be applied to out-of-state registered cars. There is HB 1563 which would make the law apply to VA registered cars only. The bill did not pass. VA State Police opinion on out-of-state cars with tint that does not comply with VA law.

Re: Any VA guys input on window tint?!

Zach,

I had my 1986 K30, Crewcab done by TrickTrucks in Winchester, VA a few years back and told them to go as dark as possible, but keeping within the law. My windows now look no different than the ones on my 2000 Ford Crewcab from the factory, no problems so far. Any business that does tinting should know how dark you can go.

Enjoy,

Wow you're local! I'm in luray, were not far apart. Could I ask you to do me a favor and post a picture? I'm wanting to go as dark as possible but like you said keeping it legal as well. Not sure if you're familiar with Harrisonburg but I was quoted 135 I believe for the rear sliding glass and sides at Curb Appeal, body shop and paint shop but they offer tint also!

That's awesome. For the longest time I thought nobody was local to me haha. Very nice truck and I love the tint.. Hopefully I'll be able to go about halfway tint wise between your driver and rear door but I will "try" and stay legal. Cheers
