windshield wiper help/questions
Allegedly el nino is coming gosh we need it bad. SO with that
1 I put new blades on mine last year but they are just ho hum on how they work is there somegood replacement assemblies you recommend that might work well 2 My switch is kinda haywire. Sometimes it works fine but most times I have to push it in as to acuate the washer in order to get the wipers to wipe. So best guess wiring messed up or bad switch? |

Re: windshield wiper help/questions
I replaced my blades with aftermarket OE style, think they were trico. Will get you the info Monday when I get back to the shop.
Most likely your switch is messed up.

Re: windshield wiper help/questions
looks like the switch runs about $40 so not breaking the bank but cost enough to want to be somewhat certain
I am thinking I may need new arms to its like there isn't enough tension against the glass if that makes sense |

Re: windshield wiper help/questions
Try cleaning your glass with bonami real good and lubricate the wiper towers so it sweeps with no resistance

Re: windshield wiper help/questions
On my son's 68 the only way to get the wipers to work at all was to push in for the washer feature. Last weekend I figured what the heck and pulled the switch from the dash then disassembled the switch. I was able to clean up the contacts with fine sandpaper and put it all back together-so far works like new and saved the $40 for something else. Took about an hour start to finish.

Re: windshield wiper help/questions
my dad has a truck that he went through the hole wiper system, and they still don't work very well, he says they were that way when they were brand new. But i'm sure you could go through and make some kit that used newer electronics, so they would actually work, but it just sounds like a lot of work to me (but what isn't in a project)
