What's this hole on the firewall for?

Howdy, I'm cleaning up my firewall and was just wondering what is suppose to attached to this nut plate.

On my 72 there is a brace that goes from there to brake booster someone will have a good picture to share.

Ahh grasshopper, I've seen the upper brace that attaches near the harness plug.
Crazy how many braces the booster originally had.

Maybe this will help, not the best shot but if you look at the outer stud on the master cylinder you can follow the bracket back down to the firewall.
