id'ing a 700R4 help
I believe if I've done it correctly, its a 1983 tranny. Any help?

Yes, that's what I thought. Should be fine though behind a stock 350 I'd think? It's by no means a hot rod

If you're rebuilding it, it doesn't matter what year you have, just make sure it's upgraded. Over time, the weaker parts have been phased out of manufacture so most of what's available is already the upgraded stuff. I'm sure some shops have old stock laying around though.
