Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
Just in time for Halloween, an unholy alliance between a Suburban and a Longhorn bed.
Be afraid....very afraid!https://redding.craigslist.org/cto/5292973158.html

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
Idk man on a dodge chassis with a cummins power train. I'd let that truck rock my driveway for sure. Not every cool truck has to be a shortbed

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
Amen to that! I'd rock that thing with a Cummins all day long. A lot of it depends on how well the cab was done tho.

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
I really hate hack jobs.I've been saying it for over 15 years. These trucks will be on the same chopping block as all them 1959-64 impala's.
For mist it will bring my profit and bigger deals But on the end note some one dose not want a hack project. Most don't see it right off.But later it really sets the tone. I have a friend that has 2 car's back in 1969 the 2 biggest known car's that now days if you touch them wrong you will be know as a joke. 1969 Z28 was cut up to turned in to a a roundy round car then a drag car 1969 dodge Daytona with the big wing guy bought it as a clunker had the 440 4 speed made a convertible out of it Last time i saw it it was a parts car. the guy that owned both of them still has the 1969 Z28 drag car. We talk ever so often He just sits in his grouge with a cover over it Its been gutted and tubed fiber glass every thing. He was 17 when he got the dodge He just thought he wanted to be the only guy with a convertible dodge with a wing. Now look at most people wanting to cut down long beds to short beds They can't hide the Vin tag. them short beds will price them self's out of any real money the 25,000 to me its worth 10,000 if that. For the true hobbies they know what to look for |

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
Even with the bed forward is the wheelbase long enough? It needs a Cummins, then it would be cool? I don't care for crew cabs, but at $3,200 that's about the cheapest truck I've seen shown here in a long time. A cheap way to get that custom built cab and what looks like a really decent Longhorn bed w/tool & stowage

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
That one needs some huge rubber, dual 8" chrome stacks, air horn and a 6V Detroit.

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
amen!!!!! I personally like long beds much better over a short bed. I still like to haul plywood in my truck and be able to close the tailgate. I think some guys look at the long bed trucks as nothing other than a parts truck no matter how nice the truck is which is kinda sad...

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
That is a lot of truck for the money.
he's not saying it needs a Cummins, he is saying it has one. Since its on a dodge frame, and the ad says its a diesel, its a fairly safe bet.

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
I like em long. would make a heck of a highway hauler to me. A lil work, a nice paint job, hook up a big ol 5th wheel trailer and cruise the American roads, seeing all the natural wonders of this country with room for the kid and the dog too, lol. I wonder what kinda turning radius it has though?

Looks like a standard 8' bed would fit it just right.... LockDoc

Re: Unique Suburban/Longhorn on CL
That's one heck of a deal if you added up the time to fabricate, I have been building mine over the last year and a half and still not 100% done with the cab. The truck looks solid and the drivetrain aone might be worth that asking price. Makes my short bed look short!
