ac box

has anyone ever tried to retro a 73-80 underhood ac box on 67-72 trucks? it looks a lot like ours. I have a friend who has a couple boxes he took off trucks before making mud trucks outa them. just wanted to know if anyone had tried and failed or succeeded doing a conversion.

At some point my system was changed to the later orfice type system instead of the usual POV type. Supposedly they work better without all the valves and such.
